Service #1- Exercise Therapy for the Learning Delayed and Neurological Disorders
Learning and focus challenges, dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADD/ADHD, autism, aspergers, Prader Willi Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other intellectual disabilities can all benefit from exercise therapy. Low muscle tone, lack of core strength, and an underdeveloped vestibular system are trends for these diagnosis. Exercise focused on balance, strength, midline crossing, rhythm and patterning, and movement through various planes can give these individuals a sense of body awareness and control that they were previously lacking allowing for brain integration along with cognitive and physical improvements.
Service #2- Exercise Therapy for the Older Adult
The aging process can be a difficult time, with a decrease in muscular strength, range of motion, balance, falls, injuries, and memory, but quality of life doesn’t have to be compromised. Research shows that it is never too late to exercise or increase neurological ability. Exercise focused on functional strength and balance reduces falls, increases range of motion and mobility, and increases quality of life both mentally and physically.
